Beautifully colored bivalve shellfish

Orange, yellow and purple - the beautiful different colors of "hiougi-gai" are all natural and a bit smaller than normal scallop. Hiougi-gai tastes smillar with scallop but has more rich flavor! You should try if you are a scallop lover. It's available all seasons, they are often eaten as sashimi or at BBQ. Try the fresh ones which are searved at many restaurants in Saiki.
